All parents and members of staff are automatically members of the FDS. We are very fortunate in having a very active FDS which supports the school in many ways not least of which is to raise funds to provide equipment that would not normally be provided by the school with funds that are devolved to it by the L.E.A. As an example of the success of the FDS it has raised £10,000 to support the building development in 2004 and in 2006 to provide over £9000 to renew the computers used by the children in school.

The head teacher is the president of the association and the committee consists of elected parents and members of the school teaching staff. The names of the chairman and other members of the committee can be obtained from the school office.

 

In recent years the FDS have also supported the purchase of interactive whiteboards, large outdoor play equipment and new furniture for the classrooms.

 

In February, the FDS paid for an excellent outdoor shelter which was erected near the playground.
