Keeping Home and School Connected

At Downe Primary School, we know how important good communication between home and school is. We use ClassDojo as a quick and convenient way for parents and teachers to stay connected.

ClassDojo provides a simple communication channel that allows messages and important information to be shared directly between home and school.

How We Use ClassDojo

Teachers use ClassDojo to share class updates, reminders, information and messages with parents. Parents can also use ClassDojo to send a message to their child’s teacher when they need to communicate something or ask a question.

It provides a fast and accessible way of keeping in touch and helps us maintain the strong partnership between our families and school.

A Note About Response Times

While ClassDojo makes communication quick and easy, teachers will not respond to messages during teaching hours.

Our teachers’ priority during the school day is teaching, supporting and supervising the children in their care. Messages will therefore be read and responded to at an appropriate time outside of teaching commitments.

Please do not use ClassDojo for urgent or time-sensitive messages, such as changes to collection arrangements. For anything requiring immediate attention during the school day, please contact the school office directly.
